The highly anticipated matchup between the Phoenix Suns and the Golden State Warriors lived up to the hype, with both teams trading baskets in a back-and-forth contest that went down to the wire.
The Suns, fueled by Devin Booker's explosive performance, managed to squeak out a 125-122 victory in front of a raucous crowd at the Chase Center.
Booker, who finished with a team-high 45 points, was nearly unstoppable, hitting shots from all corners of the court and displaying his signature clutch gene.
First Half Frenzy
The game got off to a flying start, with both teams combining for 37 points in the first quarter alone.
Stephen Curry, meanwhile, struggled to find his footing, shooting just 2-of-7 from beyond the arc in the first half.
The Warriors' Stephen Curry did, however, manage to find some rhythm in the second quarter, scoring 12 points and helping the Warriors close the gap to just three points at halftime.
Second Half Surge
The Suns came out strong in the third quarter, with Booker and Mikal Bridges combining for 17 points to stretch their lead to 10.
The Warriors, however, refused to give up, with Curry and Klay Thompson leading a furious comeback that saw the Warriors cut the deficit to just two points heading into the final quarter.
The fourth quarter was a nail-biter, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to gain a decisive advantage.
In the end, it was Booker who came through with the game-winner, hitting a deep three-pointer with just seconds remaining to seal the victory for the Suns.
The win marked the Suns' third straight against the Warriors this season and moved them to 5-2 on the road.
For their part, the Warriors suffered a tough defeat, but remain tied for first place in the Western Conference.
The two teams will meet again next week, with the stakes sure to be just as high.
