Kada Scott: Police Search for Woman Who Went Missing in Philadelphia

"The search for Kada Scott, a 23-year-old Philadelphia woman who vanished without a trace on October 4, has intensified with police scouring the 55-acre Awbury Arboretum in the city's East Germantown neighborhood.
Kada, who worked an overnight shift at The Terrace at Chestnut Hill senior home, was last seen by her family when she left for work around 9:45 p.m. Her mother reported her missing the next day after Kada failed to return home.
"It's a troubling missing person report," said Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore. "To this point, nothing has been found that's related to the investigation. We found some clothing items, which we don't know if they're related to this or not, but they were taken to look into."
Kada's family is worried about her disappearance, with her father, Kevin Scott, saying, "We all love her and hope that she's safe." Kada, a communications graduate from Penn State, was also an aspiring fashion designer and had recently begun participating in pageants.
Police have brought in new cadets to assist with the search and have used drones, crime scene units, forensic experts, and specialty-trained K9s, including a cadaver dog and an electronics tracing dog. The FBI is also assisting with the investigation.
As the search for Kada continues, police are working to piece together the events leading up to her disappearance. "She came back home around 9:45 p.m., asked to borrow her mother's car, and left for her 10 p.m. shift, which was set to end at 6 a.m.," Kevin Scott said. "She didn't leave work in her car, and her phone is off."
The family is pleading for answers, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward. "We want to do this search the right way," Vanore said. "We're doing everything we can to find Kada and bring her home safely."
The investigation continues, with police following up on leads and searching for any signs of Kada. As the community rallies around the Scott family, one thing is clear: Kada's disappearance has shaken the city, and everyone is hoping for a safe return.
